Duke University, Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, IMD and IESE Business School are the top 5 executive schools according to this year Finantial Times ranking.
Zero is the number of Portuguese schools in this ranking, that shows the super US business power having 9 out of the top 10 schools (the one that is missing is the Spanish IESE Business School).
Someone once told that we have good economists in PT. Where are they when the country needs them? Where are they when these studies are made? Maybe doing research..

Do you know what´s the second most written language on weblogs?
According to this, its Portuguese! Although still very far from english language blogs, but it may be a good reason for me to start writting down in portuguese as well. I sometimes complaint for not having portuguese resources when i search the web, and here i am writing in english..

To Study is a good Business

An economist from Banco de Portugal released an article “Myths and Facts about the portuguese market labour“, where he states that going to university is a good investment: 15% year as return rate. Also graduated workers earn 80% bigger wages than non-graduated ones.
The author, Pedro Portugal - who i´ve met once in my university - also lists the most lucrative degrees in Portugal that are mainly the technological ones. Economics graduated people earn on average 1592 euros, being this the lowest value of the 10 most lucrative degrees.
I really need to finish my degree and specialize in e-business/tech sciences.

According to the news, the Sasser worm author was arrested for interrogation in Germany. Although i think he should be punnished (after all he commited a crime and caused a lot of companies big money losses), i would like to show my respect for his incredible mind: 18 years old and he bypasses security systems and codes created by experts…

Secret Window & Hands

Yesterday I went to see Johnny Depps new movie Secret Window. Let me give you some advice: dont waste your money with it! The film isnt bad, but its more a “tv movie” than a “theater movie”.

One interesting thing ive noticed: the 3 latest movies i went (Along Came Polly, The Passion, Secret Window) all passed a message of: wash you hands, literaly. If you saw The Passion of the Christ, you may remember that scene when Maria (His mother) tells Him to wash His hands before He begins lunch.

This is a very important message, and I assume you know that. Washing your hands is a very important habit of hygiene, that can avoid several deseases, and ultimatly even your life. Believe it. I realized this situation after seeing a doctor’s debate, and also after seeing that most of the people on my university’s cantine (who eat bread with there hands), doesn’t wash them.
This may seem like a strange (stupid?) warning but i wanted to do it.

Please take the time to clean up your hands before eating!
