Disney to Acquire Pixar

Não são notícias novas (há já alguns dias que circula nos jornais) mas só hoje me manifesto sobre o assunto uma vez que a Pixar já actualizou a sua área de Press Releases:

This acquisition combines Pixar’s preeminent creative and technological resources with Disney’s unparalleled portfolio of world-class family entertainment, characters, theme parks and other franchises, resulting in vast potential for new landmark creative output and technological innovation that can fuel future growth across Disney’s businesses.

No curto-prazo as consequências já se fizeram sentir: No more Toy Story 3. Deixa de fazer sentido este meu post.
No médio-prazo não existirão grandes alterações de agenda porque os filmes demoram em média 2 anos a serem feitos. Desse modo só daqui a pouco mais de 2 anos veremos o resultado desta fusão, que em minha opinião poderá continuar a dar bons resultados uma vez que o John Lasseter (one of the most respected creative minds in animation, good friend to Roy Disney and the director of the original TOY STORY) é Chief Creative Officer nesta nova “empresa”.
