José Manuel Durão Barroso, former prime minister of Portugal, is now President of the European Commission.
His profile can be found here.
In Portugal he was know as “Durão” but abroad they like to call him “José Manuel” as the “ão” seems hard to pronounce.
Portuguese people that deserve some attention for their work:
José Mourinho was elected the best coach in the world (2005) by the IFFHS (International Federation of Football History & Statistics).
He’s manager and first team coach of Chelsea FC (speculated wage: £38,461 per week, that’s 55 951 EUR or 72,977 USD per week).
Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida that plays “Salazar” on the Fox series “24” (3rd season) (although he isnt mentioned in the “Profiles” section of the series website).
- Tiago Monteiro - F1 driver
