Let me tell you how do I make my own DVDs.
Home made DVDs

  1. Get yourself a nice old egg-shaped tv (mine has 16 years old and its a Sanyo)
  2. Add a 15 year old vcr (this baby from Telefunken – bought in Germany – still rocks today!
  3. Go get your vhs family tapes
  4. Connect the vcr to the DVD-Recorder with cables (note that this is not a normal dvd-recorder as it has the ability to connect to a TV or a VCR for direct video burning)
  5. Burn your dvd directely from the old tape or…
  6. Connect you DVD-Recorder to your computer to save your family videos into your hard-drive (where you can edit them and make real nice – almost pro – dvds with any dvd authoring tool that you like)
