I’m currently working on a new section for my weblog called “Clippings and Linklog” that will contain the latest links that I’m browsing on the web (like JM’s browsing ) and that is powered, of course, by del.icio.us.
Before I installed Wordpress RSS Link List Plugin, I tried Miniblog plugin, Asides like Matt, wasabi’s del.isio.us cached, and even others. Rawlinson’s code seemed good and I chose it.
Click on the left “Categories” link and you’ll see some links. The layout of my sidebar is still horrible but with time things will look good!

The Casa Da Música (House of Music), designed by Rem Koolhaas, opened today, 4 years after the planned date of 2001. After Oporto was selected one of the two cultural capitals of Europe in 2001, the Minister of Culture and the city of Oporto founded Porto 2001, an organisation which was meant to initiate and prepare different urban and cultural interventions for the city.
Lou Reed and the portuguese band Clã, will be the first ones to step foot in it.
The New York Times review says that:
The project’s sculptural qualities will inevitably draw comparisons to Frank Gehry’s exuberant design for the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain.

Google acquires Keyhole:
Fly from space to your home town. Visit exotic locales such as Maui, Tokyo, Rome and Paris. Satellite imagery makes it real. Explore restaurants, hotels, parks and schools. Think magic carpet ride!
Will I be able to see my house?
That depends. While Keyhole does cover the entire globe with satellite imagery, we do not have high resolution imagery for the entire globe. We have focused on larger, US metropolitan areas initially, and will be adding much broader coverage in high-resolution detail over the coming months. See the following charts for a comprehensive list of available high-resolution cities.
A shame that Portugal is not supported…

No wonder they think we are crazy little folks.
First a young interviewer asks Matthew McConaughey, about his latest movie (Sahara), how does it feel to be a “sophisticated Don Juan”. The man chokes while trying to not to laugh out loud in her face. He ends up saying “I’ve never heard that one… I’ll have to remember that!”. Even I felt ashamed for the wannabe-reporter…
Later on the evening Vin Diesel (who’s definitely following Schwarzenegger’s steps…) is confronted with the Portuguese translation of his latest movie: O Chupeta , that means only the pliable device in the shape of a nipple for a baby to suck on, very far from the second meaning of the English word: pacifier, as the one who pacifies who is peacemaker. He even asked: porquê? (why?) stating “we have to change that…”
