This is very strange.. iīm at home trying to blog from my brotherīs pc (a “fantastic” Pentium 200 mmx with 128 ram and 2,5 gb disc), but i canīt seem to copy/paste! itīs really anoying because i have a lot of links that i would like to share with you!
Iīll try to post them tomorrow from my laptop..

Our Science and Education Minister, Graça Carvalho, says that the portuguese government will pay the wage of PhD´s who build technologically based companies . You don´t imagine how much i regret dont having a PhD after reading this…
I had an idea for a business (wich i think is great!): sell movies “a la carte”.
Imagine this:
1) “John” wants to buy a movie;
2) he connects to the internet using broadband trough electrical wires, much faster than cable broadband;
3) he enters www.mymovie-vitor´s-idea.com;
4) he selects the movie;
5) he selects the subtitles and audio for the movie;
6) he selects the extras;
7) he chooses the cover for the movie dvd-case;
clicks “i´m done” button;
9) pays using credit card/paypal or other payment system;
10) a) chooses “download my movie” or b) “send it to me by mail package”;
11a) after a few minutes he can burn the file he downloaded to a dvd;
11b) one day after this “John” receives his custom-dvd!
Two years from now this is how we´ll buy movies.
hopefully, i´ll be one of the many workers behind this process (at the top of the chain, of course 
).
Studio and movie distribute could implement this system right away if it wasn´t for the technological handicap.. But in 2, or maybe less, years companies will sell their dvds in this system, bypassing the divx pirated movies.
In fact, we have pirated mp3´s and divx on our computers mainly because its much simpler to download them in the illegal way.
With the system that i propose users and companies will win: we get exactly what we want, and pay a low price for it, and companies make profit.
