Movable Type vs Wordpress

All the people who have a blog are talking about the new price scheme from Movable Type, the most used blogging app: Vantan says:

They should remember that Movable Type’s success, however, was based on the fact that it was free, customisable, and one of the most powerful blogging tools in its time. I´ve tested the main blogging tools and choose Wordpress over Movable Type only because my host does not support Perl. I can tell you now that i´ve made an excellent decision!
